Donald Regan (Thrift Store Book)

A great way to get autographs cheap is to buy them at thrift stores. Many people will donate signed books without realizing they are signed and they end up right on the shelves for cheap. Checking the first few pages of each book may reveal some autographed ones. I tend to only check books written by politicians, athletes, or other notable people due to the shear volume of books at some stores.

Today my mom was at the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Williamsburg  and found a book signed by Donald Regan. Regan (1918-2003) served as the Secretary of the Treasury (1981-1985) and the White House Chief of Staff (1985-1987) under then President Ronald Reagan. Regan died in Williamsburg, so that is likely how the book ended up in our area. Local books are much more likely to be signed.
